We need to reduce plastic this Ramadhan
In an effort to reduce plastic waste, Leytonstone Masjid will no longer be handing out free water bottles during Taraweeh. We have installed a new water bottle filling station, and are encouraging worshippers to bring their own reusable water bottles from home.
Ramadhan Announcement
The Central Moon Sighting Committee UK have reported that the moon has not been sighted. The first day of Ramadhan will be on Thursday 23rd March. The first Taraweeh will be on Wednesday 22nd March.

Local Sighting Report: Negative Foreign Sighting Report: Negative Therefore, the Islamic month of Dhū al-Qaʿdah will complete 30 days. First day of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1443 will be on Friday 1st July 2022. Eid Al Fitr 1443 Announcement
The new moon for the month of Shawaal has been sighted in the designated zone for Britain, so Ramadhan has ended and Shawaal has begun. Inshallah Eid Ul Fitr will be on Monday 2nd May 2022.
